This article covers the creative specifications required for VAST (CTV/OLV) ads in Nova Studio

VAST Creative Specifications 

Uploading assets that don't meet the required specifications may result in distorted or poor quality ads.

To ensure the best outcome, make sure all assets meet the specifications below before uploading. These specs primarily apply to Manual Upload creatives but may also apply when switching or updating assets on an existing Auto-Fill Import creative.

Media (Video/Image)
  • Video File type: MP4 or MOV
  • Video File size recommendation: under 100MB (no Max)
  • Recommended aspect ratio: 16:9 (Any aspect ratio is acceptable)
  • Recommended resolution: 1080p (Min 720p)
  • Recommended duration: 6s/15s/30s (no limit but 60s is recommended maximium)
  • Image (Apply to Carousel format only): Up to 10 min. 500px W&H
  
Brand Logo
  • Recommended size: 400px H or W
  • Min size: 200x200px
  • Social icon ratio: 1:1
  

Brand Name
  • Recommendation copy count: 2-3 words recommended (Max 73 characters) 
  
Caption
  • Recommended: 235 characters
  
 Background There are 3 available options:
  • Background image (Recommended):
    Min 1920 x 1080px PNG, JPG.
    Optional background effect (Zoom / Pan)
    • *Not available for Standard Horizontal or Vertical format
  • Gradient: Two hex code colors
  • Flat color: One hex code color
  

Feature Image
  • Required only for Showcase format
  • Recommended aspect ratio: 5:4 or 1:1
  • Image size: min 500px W or W
  

Header 
  • Required only for Social format
  • Recommended: 15 words or fewer
