## This article covers the creative specifications required for Display ads in Nova Studio

### Display Creative Specifications

Uploading assets that don't meet the required specifications may result in distorted or poor quality ads.

To ensure the best outcome, make sure all assets meet the specifications below before uploading. These specs primarily apply to Manual Upload creatives but may also apply when switching or updating assets on an existing Auto-Fill Import creative.

**Creative Specifications for Text/Copy:**

| **Asset** | **Specifications** |  |

| **Brand Name** | - Max 25 characters |  |
| **Destination URL for CTA button** | - For carousel: Apply one to all slides or customize per slide. - Can incorporate click / tap to call or e-mail - Phone number or e-mail address needed |  |
| **CTA Copy** | - **Recommendation copy count:** 2-3 words recommended (Max 73 characters) |  |
| **Caption (Optional)** | - **Max length:** 700 characters - Automatically truncated to 300 characters with a "See More" link - All clicks on caption copy go to the destination URL, even if the caption includes multiple URLs - Emoticons are supported |  |
| **Link Title and Description  (Optional)** | - **Title:** Max 30 characters until automatic truncation - **Description recommendation count:** 49 characters, 100 characters until automatic truncation - For carousel format: Apply to all slides or customize per slide |  |
| **CTA Button (Optional)** | - **Hex code color:** #XXXXXX - For carousel format: apply to all slides or customize color per slide - Default color is blue |  |
| **Disclaimer Text (Optional)** | - No character limit |  |
| **Social Engagement Icons (Optional)** | - Advertiser Social profile URL needed that matches the final creative format type (Ex. Facebook profile for a facebook display creative) (Icons will click through to this profile) |  |

**Creative Specifications for Media:**

| **Asset** | **Specifications** |

| **Brand logo** | - **File type:** JPG or PNG - **Recommended ratio**: 1:1 (square) - **Width:** min 100px, max 500px - **Height:** min 100px, max 500px - **Max file size:** 2MB |
| **Image** | - For carousel format: Up to 10 per ad creative (Video is accepted for carousel posts as well - see video specs) - **Supported file type:** jpg, png, or gif (static or animated) - **Recommended ratio:** 9:16 or 4:5 (any aspect ratio is acceptable) - **Width:** min 500px, max 1,222px - **Height:** min 262px, max 640px - **Max file size:** 2 MB |
| **Video** | - **Supported file type:** mp4 - **Recommended ratio:** 9:16 or 4:5 (any aspect ratio is acceptable) - **Min** 480p (Highest quality available recommended) - **Width:** min 320px, max 1080px - **Height:** min 180px, max 1920px - **Recommended file size:** 3MB |

⚠️ **Autoplay on Chrome:** Videos will autoplay until the 4MB bandwidth limit is reached (Google's Heavy Ads Policy), then display a "Keep Watching" overlay. Nova Studio video creatives are never removed from Chrome, regardless of file size.
